@wischlist Don’t think you can use Al Davis as an example for how any other owner would act, besides maybe Jerry Jones. Especially the Brown family, since the current owner’s father founded the Bengals and they have deep ties to Cincinnati. My other point about the renovations still stands.
@wischlist I don’t think court would matter as much as the other owners blocking it. Also, Bengals just extended their lease and have major renovations coming over the next ten years.
@barstoolWSD Even if Chicago could do that, which they can’t because cities can’t charge licensing fees for geographical names; all the Bears would have to do is say that the name is for the Chicago Metropolitan Area now, which Hammond is in.

@blobbylight89@jus10chi Or one call with the leadership of the Bears followed up by people lower on the food chain staying in contact weekly. That happens all the time. Unless there’s direct reporting of the content of the call, I’m not sure how this means anything.
