@Filmmakers4F@parents4future@sciforfuture@FridayForFuture Given the significance of the climate threat why do you think only a very small number of actors/actresses/film makers are talking about it?
Have you participated in direct action (climate strike, protesting, etc.)? Why or why not?
@GildasDev @Filmmakers4F@parents4future@sciforfuture@FridayForFuture The climate change threat was apparent 30 years ago and yet no real action has been taken to combat it. Rather millions of dollars have been spent spreading misinformation to confuse the issue. How does that make you feel?
@JuliePi31415926 Being well informed and caring a lot about people and the planet makes me feel like a #funsucker a lot of the time. I hope one day more responsible behaviour will be normalized so I don't cringe so much at 'fun' events.
acts of civil disobedience always bring to light how little people know of social movement history.
in the 1960s, when lunch counter sit-ins happened across the south, thousands said "i support your cause but not your tactic." 1/

Just a reminder that Bernier's party doesn't actually meet two of the three criteria that the commission laid out: support of 4% (just 2% at the CBC poll tracker) and at least one member elected under the party banner.
These are rich, white people deciding to platform Bernier.
@techevangelista @mateosfo Now imagine if the people who rely on cars for accessibility didn't need to sit in traffic with people who are using cars just because of poor urban/suburban planning. Getting most people out of cars is better for everyone.
@Nibful @MalcolmTWalls @XRebellionUK @CClimateAction I am pretty sure he got the point and is just trying to derail the conversation because he does not support the cause.
One second they declare a #ClimateEmergency and the next second they say yes to expand a pipeline.
This is shameful.
But of course this is not only in Canada, we can unfortunately see the same pattern everywhere...

STOP SCROLLING AND WATCH THIS @TEDx TALK!
We usually think of climate change as a standalone issue separate from all others. But in reality, it is the grand culmination of all our societal injustices that have been building up for centuries. @TEDTalks
