The Out&Loud collective are launching an international website which will showcase proudly LGBTIQ+ Australasian choirs.
The site was born out of the Australasian LGBTIQ+ Choral Festivals which began in 2001.

We are preparing for our outdoor (also Covid-safe) FREE concert this summer. Not long to go and we are working hard (and having fun along the way). Will keep you posted Qwire families and friends. We missssssssss you.

Qwire has been back to (real!) rehearsal for many weeks now, with Covid-safe policy in place and adhered to very vigorously by all members. You can see how far apart we are, and all doors are left ajar even in the coldest night of winter!

It's difficult time, but we are committed to work on our songs so we will be ready when the time is right. Wouldn't that be something to look forward to!

Hooray! Qwire is back online!

Tonight we had our first sectional rehearsals online. Isn't technology wonderful! We are very happy to report that 57 members attended. (Not bad for the first run, isn't it.)

But despair not! We've been working on some creative alternatives to allow us to rehearse together from home!

And before long, we will be back!

Unfortunately and very sadly, we have to cancel our rehearsals for now until further notice. While we love our weekly gathering and singing so much, the safety and wellbeing of our members and community takes first priority.

Our friends Sydney Gay & Lesbian Choir is having a booth at Mardi Gras Fair Day today. They are doing a great job being their warm, friendly selves greeting and talking with the fair-goers. Sending love from your Canberra friends and Happy Mardi Gras!
