In some places I’ve mixed my own neo. In other places it’s premixed. If Rx sends quad strength in a single strength bag…well..

@broadwaybabyto Pretty easily, actually. Rx batch mixes a lot of drugs in a lot of facilities. If they batch mixed “local” for the AM start cases of the day, the pts would’ve received the same spinal solutions at roughly the same time from different anesthesia providers.

@FREEMANREALMD @Kazanjy Dude. We don’t make our on drugs. Full stop. Everything I give is in pre-labeled syringes or vials from Rx. If they stock my cart with syringes labeled X but they contain Y, that’s on Rx. I can’t possibly distinguish 99% of our drugs bc they all look like water in a syringe.

@FREEMANREALMD @Kazanjy There are plenty of things that Rx compounds that I never touch outside of administering it. Especially when things are on back order & Rx can only get it in bulk. They’ll break it down into smaller doses & load it into our carts. We never touch it before it’s labeled and ready
