A mistake we make often make in the things of the spirit.

A person has been praying about something for a while and presses deep into the Spirit over it. God sends his word (the answer to the prayer) through a minister who speaks prophetically under the anointing. This prophetic word is heard, and the results follow.

Now in giving the testimony the individual who spent considerable time in deep prayer says, "I came for this meeting and so and so gave a prophetic word which brought the results" he or she forgets to mention how they pushed and pressed in the spirit in private devotion.

Someone hears that and starts attending meetings for a prophetic word with no personal and private fellowship with God.

He becomes a slave to the external, not understanding the process.

The pattern described here is what happened to the children of Israel when they cried unto God and God heard and sent his word through Moses. Without their prayers, Moses, though anointed by God, will never have been sent to them.

Meditate on this.
