The Bible was a foundational document in education. As @realJennaEllis stated, “it isn’t about proselytizing it’s about understanding our history”. Natural rights, human dignity, justice, covenant and liberty are part of America’s government and found nowhere else. @charliekirk11 also teaches this lesson well. Faith affects our worldview.

Human Services Committee Hearing today. The do not hire Search Engine (SEMARC) is now ready. It prevents bad actors from working in schools, Juvenile Justice, day cares, nursing homes and state hospitals. SEMARC has already prevented four dangerous people from being employed!

Last session, James Talarico and progressive radicals in the #txlege fought aggressively to keep pornographic literature in our schools. Filth that would make most grownups blush … readily available to our children… right there in our neighborhood schools.

At the same time, Republicans united and fought diligently alongside @CandyNobleHD89 to pass her legislation to post the Ten Commandments in every classroom across Texas. James and his minions loudly objected …. claiming we couldn’t do so … saying it was legally impermissible and ironically claiming it was morally wrong.

The progressives lost. We won.

And today the Fifth Circuit upheld our bill — which we knew they would — delivering a huge win for right, for decency, for goodness and for the foundational principles upon which our great Nation was founded. A great win and a great day for Texas!

My precious Chief of Staff Cassie, has cancer, and while in Houston on Friday for Cassie’s chemo, her dear friend Marietta was tragically and senselessly murdered. Please join me in prayer for Cassie and for Marietta’s family as they deal with this unthinkable loss.
