I am not a conservative anymore. I have not been for a long time.

The likely failure of the Albanese government’s dangerous and wrong-headed Combatting Misinformation Bill in the Senate, because of public pressure and because of X, underscores for me the reason.

Bad forces have taken over our establishment, every corner of it. They work hard to preserve and conserve systems long perverted. They hold on as though their very existence depends on it, and it’s over.

It is obvious this week that that the world has changed. It is not so much that Trump won, but the scale of the win that explains it.

Kamala got one thing right - “we’re not going back”, and I don’t think we will ever see her again.

We’re not going back to a world where the West, through some mislaid sense of virtue, loudly extolled self-loathing. A screamy, shouty rejection of all of the principles of the enlightenment, of the Christian base of Western civilisation.

Censorship, division by sex, race and other immutable traits; the idea that people with a particular personal trait all think the same way. Where a diversity of these characteristics is only welcome if there is no divergence in opinion.

The rejection of innocent until proven guilty. The lack of demonstration of the respect of each-other’s opinions, such that we listen and respond conversationally, rather cancelling and slandering. As the cowards who lied to us for decades run away to blue skies.

The idea that we can tax and borrow our way to success through excess regulation and a ballooning, bloated black-hearted ‘public service’.

All historical ideas. All dead ideals. Good.

The overwhelming majority of Americans voted to reject the lot. Trump is here and it is only the beginning. His movement is here to stay and it will permeate the world. Not before time.

Trump won in ’16 after Brexit, his numbers held through ‘20, and he smashed it in ’24.

This can’t be ignored, and the Trump administration has a mandate - real authority and power. Meaningful change is already underway – he’s not even inaugurated.

In Australia, we had the Voice referendum with a thumping ‘No’, which tried to tell the politicians we want our normality back - yet they ignore us still.

We have been let down by both sides of the Australian political coin. Turnbull, Morrison and now Albanese. All of the state Premiers and opposition leaders are basically the same feckless bureaucrat. Nothing more than supine, insipid, big state, no ideas men and women.

Our nation has grown bland, boring and financially desperate. The more power these tools and fools build for themselves, the bigger the state becomes, and the worse it is to live with; the more talentless rent-seeker cronies take more of what’s ours, by government writ.

I was once a conservative, wanting to preserve all that was great about our nation. The instruments of small government, of life and liberty.

No more.

This does not make me a progressive, I am not that at all. These days the word means ‘Karen appeaser’, and that is just a fool’s errand - it’s what got us into this mess. We have to learn to ignore Karen and her Teal beliefs - they’re wrongheaded and destructive.

No.

I am now a Restorer. I want to Restore our nation, so we have something worth conserving again.

Like Trump and his new talented cabinet, I want to see a movement for real change here too.

Restore the institutions.

Restore common sense.

Restore liberty.

Restore Justice – oh please.

And most importantly, Restore the family and the strong individual that creates.

I want to Restore Australia.

We must do this together.

I just want the Australia I grew up in back.
