All jokes aside, there needs to be some serious discussions on what a Finale Event should be, because the last 2 Finale events have been a complete joke!

This 'Finale' event to end the GO Fest season was just a glorified Raid Weekend event. Nothing about the design gave any essence of a GO Fest event. And when I about 'essence', im talking about multiple different ways you can play an event.

Every Global GO Fest have 3 main focal points - Raids, Wild Spawns, Research

If you get bored of encountering Wild Spawns OR the spawn pools for a certain habitat is boring, do Raids

If you get bored of Raiding, do some Research or Wild Spawn hunting for a bit

You can adapt your gameplay to prolong your enjoyment of the event - this was missing during this Mega Finale event, and also last years Max Finale

Outside from raiding, there was NOTHING else to do. No event research. No special eggs. No Snapshot Encounter. Absolutely nothing which is just screams laziness for a global event celebrating the end of the 2026 GO Fest season.

There was so much they could have done to make this event even more special.

Where was the ability for us to earn Mega Energy from catching Pokémon that could Mega Evolve? Its not like they've done this before with Carbink dropping Mega Diancie Energy after being caught

Where was the chance for us to earn Mega Energy for specific Pokémon from Field Research?

Where was creative Global Challenges that could have given us cool bonuses like increased Mega Energy from Tier 4 Raids, or even granting us more Mega Energy for our chosen starter

Also, why couldn't we have the option to Raid or earn Mega Energy for the other new Starter Mega Evolutions. It would have been something cool to focus on if you didn't want to raid Pokémon you've already raided in past Raid Day events

And this is the problem - there are so many cool ideas they could have done to make this event more interesting and feel like the closing chapter for GO Fest 2026. But instead, they decided to make a simple event that has no purpose other than being a way to make a quick buck

With the criticisms with last years GO Pass for the Max Finale, you can tell lessons were not learnt. Having a shiny boost for non legendary raids is a scam. Unless they are 1 in 20, there is no point give us this bonus. Gives false hope for players

I don't know. Maybe a lot of my criticism is based on the fact im just tired of GO Fests for this year since I've done Tokyo and Global. But from what I've seen online and also what people that I've played with this weekend (who some have only started playing the game in the last 1 or 2 years), this event has been the weakest event they have ever done.

This Finale event should just been branded as a Mega Raid Weekend. There was no need to slap on the GO Fest brand if you were not giving an GO Fest experience

I understand ur frustration Peter, I fucks w u, but I dont really care if ur disappointed in me. That man is my brother. U dont have a relationship w him like I do. Damn near 2 decades of art and friendship. U not family. So I get it. Ive been around Ye, and I can honestly say talking to him now is how it use to be when I first signed to him, but even better. He was dealing w mental health struggles for years and now hes good. Everyone deserves some grace when they family. I was the hardest on him out of anybody. I held him accountable. He apologized and it was sincere. But like I said, u not family so I get it.
