See below from the Trump-appointed former BLS Commissioner who I worked with closely with at DOL.
Bill is an incredibly competent, good person — and a patriot who knows wrong when he sees it.
I join with my fellow Catholics and people around the world in mourning the passing of Pope Francis.
His essence of compassion, humility and unbounded hope gave us joy, peace, direction and resolve. I am forever grateful for the honor to have met Pope Francis and been touched by his warmth, kindness, and humor. His life was a commitment to our sacred responsibility to care for others, especially the most vulnerable among us.
In no other realm was that more evident than his dedication to climate, human rights, immigrant communities and the working poor. He strove to make the Church more inclusive and welcoming and he led by reminding us of the dignity and worth of every person.
His being will endure in the hearts of those he inspired. May he rest in eternal peace.
What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!
"The patriots at Normandy & Selma, Seneca Falls & Stonewall, on farmlands and factory floors, they did not struggle, sacrifice, and lay down their lives only to see us cede our fundamental freedoms. They didn’t do that only to see us submit to the will of another petty tyrant."
Let us fight for this beautiful country we love.
And, in 7 days, we each have the power to turn the page, and start writing the next great chapter in the most extraordinary story ever told.
It’s @Celtics Banner 18 Day, and the Inside crew is LIVE from Boston! Can’t wait to watch these guys on @NBAonTNT from City Hall Plaza.
Great to see you, Charles, Shaq, and Kenny! Glad I could help you show off some Massachusetts pride.
Wishing my dear friend, colleague and our admin’s second-best Boston accent @ginamccarthy46 the best of luck as she departs the White House. Her work to build a better America has helped our nation take a big step towards a clean energy future. We’re grateful for her service.
@jwbernier@jasoninmia Hi! Sorry to be slow. An useful starting point for me was David Reynolds/Debra Rosenthal collection *The Serpent in the Cup: Temperance in Am. Lit.* Includes John W. Crowley essay on close ties betw temperance & slavery narrative genres.
When I addressed my alcoholism, my union supported me.
When I was diagnosed with childhood cancer, my father's union ensured we had medical coverage.
And when it was time to pay the bills, my family had peace of mind through a good paycheck.
How has your union supported you?
Very sad news. I got to sit on an interdisciplinary opioids panel with Dr. Saitz a few years back; he was generous in his engagement and adamant about grounding the conversation in evidence. Felt lucky to have met him.
The President’s “Jobs Cabinet” - @SecretaryPete, @SecGranholm, @SecFudge, @SecMartyWalsh and @SecRaimondo - worked tirelessly to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, a once-in-generation bipartisan infrastructure bill.
