It was great to meet up with Dr. Scott MacKenzie, (@5thBorderState)a pal from University of Manitoba days for breakfast and to sign each others books!
Scott, an academic focused on the Civil War, was in town to see the latest @CanWarMuseum exhibit “Close to Conflict” about Canada and the US Civil War.
Thank you to Linda Kincaid and the @CanWarMuseum for presenting us with the original plaque from the Commissionaires Way exhibit, which was recently refreshed in 2025 in celebration of the Corps’ Centennial year.

The @CanWarMuseum is a must-visit in Ottawa, I’ve seen some terrific—and timely—exhibitions there. Impressive, symbolic architecture by Raymond Moriyama. Just look for address 1 Vimy Place. 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
Spent the morning being shown around the Canadian War Museum by James Whitham the Director General of the Museum. It is the most impressive war museum and well worth the visit. I saw not only the exhibits but the back room activities. Nothing woke about it. It’s a WAR Museum. The @I_W_M in London could learn a thing or two from them. https://t.co/Jhq7zGy52v
