I love that Filipino meteorologists continue to use the terms Amihan and Habagat as the northeast and southwest seasonal monsoons.
In some versions of the Tagalog mythology, Amihan and Habagat were in a love triangle with Buhawi (the word we now use for cyclones).
@HayDawg2006@AnjaPajamas@trustbeIlamy@notnotdylm You can literally look up an interview with the VFX designer to learn how much time, resources, and workers it took just to animate a dog for scenes that did not need CG. Way more than it wouldve taken for a real dog. Overreliance on CG warped your perception of how money works.
@HayDawg2006@AnjaPajamas@trustbeIlamy@notnotdylm That takes like 2 days of filming max. You dont even have to use the principal actors for those scenes and they can be done by a secondary or tertiary unit. A fully CG dog for scenes where it does nothing requires the paid labor of multiple VFX artists for weeks or months
@HayDawg2006@AnjaPajamas@trustbeIlamy@notnotdylm You think paying one animal and trainer to be on set for a couple days of filming is more expensive and labor-intensive than the numerous VFX teams needed to model, rig, render, and animate a realistic dog?
@trustbeIlamy@AnjaPajamas@notnotdylm Sorry, did you genuinely think the “flying” is what they meant by “domestic scenes”? They’re obviously talking about everything else the dog does in that movie.
@notnotdylm this is how i felt about the dog in superman. I get using CG for the action scenes but theres moments where its just being a normal dog and its so obviously not real
what’s with people being so anti-Filipino lately 😭😭 he literally played basketball for the PHILIPPINES’ NATIONAL BASKETBALL TEAM…. we claimed him long before the knicks won the championship 😭😭😭 people need to get a braincell and stop pretending they know ph culture
