Last round we caught the group ahead of us. 3 guys. 79, 80 and another in that age range, my dad’s age. They tee’d off and all 3 threw their bags on their shoulders and start walking down the fairway. Cigars, talking, laughing, no cart, enjoying life. I sat on the bench with my buddy and 2 random high school teens we were paired with and it all confirmed why golf is the greatest sport to exist.
Ages 17-80, didn’t know each other, all coexisting, having fun, respecting each others time and loving the greatest game there is
