Track down Mars and the Beehive (M44): in close quarters next 2 days. View will be much better in binoculars. Try early after twilight: they set ~ about 11pm.

Looking forward to our first public observing session of the year on June 19th at Carolina Beach State Park. We'll be looking at the first-quarter moon, & giving laser-guided star tours. The scale model solar system will show you why Saturn and Jupiter aren't up that night!

@NASA_Wallops Saw the barium release from St. Helena NC. As barium cloud faded, it appeared to shift from about 80 degrees vertical to about 45 degrees.
