$BTC is pushing lower, and I see 1000x tweets saying big institutions are selling so they can trap people, or the bull run is over
The facts are that no matter what market you are in, there will always be a pullback before the next extension to the upside
The real question is, are you going to allow peoples opinions to cloud your judgement or.....
Are you going to stand with the troops while we go take over the moon.
Everyone is seeing $BTC come down and everyone is saying this is your chance to get in
The simple truth is even if Bitcoin comes down to 80k you still late
I took 2 trades today 1 win/ 1 loss, both going short. Just because I lost the first trade doesn't mean I was wrong (just early)
Shorts were in play on S&P500. As we struggled to take Yesterday's highs
Up 1% on the day.
Cutting your losses short is the key to success
The Market Humbled Me
This week, I lost $3.5K in 2 days on my prop firm account.
These are my first losses in 3 weeks and honestly, it stings.
Drawdown never feels good. You start questioning yourself, your process, your discipline. But I also know this isn’t the end. If I follow my plan, I’ll climb out of this.
Here’s what got me into this hole and how I’ll get out.
A Thread🧵
I Used To Force Trades Just To “be in the market”
I’d open my charts, not see a setup, and then convince myself one was there anyway. Those trades almost always lost.
Now I know: no setup = no trade. Sitting on my hands has made me more money than rushing in ever did
Your job as a trader is not to predict the future. It’s to manage risk in an uncertain present
People blow up because they get married to a bias. The market doesn’t care about...
• your analysis
• your gut feeling
• your win streak
Trade what you see not what you think
Most traders think they’re losing because they “don’t have the right strategy”
But, strategy is only 20% of the game. The other 80% is
• risk management
• patience
• emotional control
Give 2 traders the same entries and exits
• 1 will grow their account
• 1 will blow it
Indicators Are Tools Not Crutches
Too many traders hide behind a wall of...
• moving averages
• oscillators, and
• signals
Strip your chart down to price action and market structure. The cleaner your chart, the clearer your decisions
Revenge Trading Is The Most Expensive Mistake You Can Make
One bad trade hurts your account; chasing that loss can destroy it...
• The market doesn’t owe you a win, and
• Your next trade has nothing to do with the last one
The Market Will Test
• Your patience
• Your discipline and
• Your emotional resilience
Some days the test will be subtle. Other days it will feel like it’s attacking you personally.
Your ability to remain calm and stick to your plan is your greatest edge
Most Traders Fail Because They Treat Trading Like A Sprint
This is a marathon. The goal is to survive long enough to let your skills compound
That means...
• Avoiding blow-ups
• Keeping risk low, and
• Focusing on consistent execution
One of the best feelings in trading is moving your stop-loss to break-even and knowing you can’t lose anymore.
From that point, you’re just letting the market do its thing.
You stop forcing outcomes and start letting probabilities play out.
The Market Rewards Those Who Wait For Their Setup Not The First Setup
Every time I got impatient and settled for a “good enough” trade it reminded me why I need patience.
My A+ setups have a much higher win rate than my “bored” trades
Cutting Losses Is A Skill
It’s not just about closing a bad trade; it’s about closing it without hesitation.
The longer you wait, the more you convince yourself it will turn around...and the more damage it does.
Some Traders Think Psychology Is Fluff
But here’s the truth: the chart is the same for everyone, yet results vary wildly. Why?
Because execution is emotional. Controlling yourself is the hardest part of this business
