@themattbank Not a member anywhere because I don’t have the money but I live very close to a course that is my “home” in that I play there the most. I play lots of other places, but it helps me check my progress. It gives me something consistent to measure my progress against. Big help tbh!
@themattbank I just have a solid memory when it comes to certain events, but I also made a spreadsheet to track my rounds against myself and measure my own progress. Entering a round the same day or next forces me to remember what I did for every shot so most rounds stick with me for months
@BeastAntares@LukeLuketreesss@bathcat Also, the process uses a TON of energy due to water having such a high heat capacity. Of course, run on renewables this isn’t an issue, but most places still rely primarily on fossil fuels. That makes this an even less viable process and scale
@Rootbeer4ever13 I never thought blue could be any more blue than the sky… and then I went to crater lake. It’s not often I have no words, but I was literally speechless when I went. Like… this picture looks like I’m looking towards the sky but that’s the lake
@PurdueToobah That’s my favorite part about this state.. you’re often less than an hour from some place really cool, and less than 2 hours from somewhere absolutely breathtaking, in any direction, no matter where in the state you are. It’s so diverse. ELITE geography, here
@DrotalkSD I’d quit my current job but finish out school and do the job I want to do and not care about pay. When the house is paid, the car is paid, school debts are paid, and the kids’ futures are set, there isn’t much else to worry about but have fun
@DrotalkSD All fair points. I’m big-ish, for my height anyway, and my legs/core are definitely my natural strength… but I don’t get to work out hardly ever and I can only play 2-3x /month and practice once/wk…
Guess I gotta play more! 🤷🏽♂️
@mikefreemanNFL All I’ll say is, once I learned more about wasps I came away with two things: all yellow jackets (all belonging to Vespidae) suck but are still ecologically important (some pollinate, too). And mud daubers are actually fucking sick insects and actually not scary at all
