Obsession grossed $224 million so far worldwide.
The U.S. population is 327 million. They could have given each American $1 million and still have money left over.
I would bet you 100k dollars the idea of having a George Floyd hologram sing "We are the world" made it 95% of the way through the approval process for the 2021 Super Bowl halftime show
Was he not supposed to notice his biggest running bit was "inanimate object: but gay"? I don't watch SNL every week but from what I have seen Bowen is more or less correct about his usage on the show
Bowen Yang says he left "SNL" because he "never felt central" to the show.
"I never played the dad or the straight-man teacher. I was always kind of there as the seasoning."

so my best friend sent me this song that Tyra Banks made herself for a dystopian young adult book she wrote over a decade ago and i'm being so serious i think she officially made the worst song of all time
@GwenLovesMovies For how many production days they had, 750k in LA is simply not enough to make it without people who are either working for free or at under a rate they should. But if they didn’t it wouldn’t be made. Theres no easy solutions. Working on tier zero indies is never easy
@GwenLovesMovies Yeah but that’s just how the indie world works. Small productions simply cannot finance/facilitate an internationally distributed and marketed film to theaters. These studios might have an Obsession every once in awhile but they also buy movies at a loss all the time
@directordaddyy This movie wasn’t made by a studio. It was independently financed, produced and sold to a studio. Independent financiers, producers took a risk in production that paid off when it was sold to Focus, just like Focus 14m buy of the film paid off for them

The truth is that $750k is too low to make a feature film in the US without people working for free and around minimum wage. On the other hand, if this production had flipped union, payroll would have cost about 50% more and the film might not have been finished.
