Karl-Anthony Towns when asked about Victor Wembanyama not being “friendly” during the Finals
"He’s a once in a generation player that the league is honored to have."

VOZINHA, the 40-year-old Cape Verde goalkeeper, was in tears after drawing against SPAIN.
“I have waited and dreamed for this moment all my life”.
There’s nothing like the World Cup. 🇨🇻❤️🥺
That Spain draw was pretty consequential because if they finish second in Group H, they'll probably face *Argentina* in the Round of 32. Now, a 37% chance of that matchup happening.
“Good guys are winning again”

🤯🇨🇻🇪🇸 CAPE VERDE MAKES HISTORY AND SECURES ITS FIRST-EVER POINT AT A FIFA WORLD CUP AGAINST SPAIN!
The African nation gets an unbelievable result against one of the candidates in their first-ever appearance on football’s biggest stage. 🏆
Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha has been the highest-rated player on the pitch at half-time against Spain.
He’s faced 13 shots and made 4 saves 🧤
At 40 years old 🤯
And you could hear it in his broadcast. I understand he’s human and it’s hard to hide your bias, but as the series went on he made less and less effort to hide it
Hearing a bunch of podcasts talk about a large portion of sports fans turning on Victor Wembanyama. Look, as someone who’s watched every second of Mahomes for almost a decade, and the public fallout, this was inevitable. Someone that gifted takes a sport by storm and announces themselves as the new face of the league, modern society is gonna turn on that level of success every single time. It’s who we are. This is the era of haters. Misery loves company. We’re better at tearing down than we are at building up, unfortunately. This is especially true about the noise on social media. People are 10 times more likely to complain than give credit.
He'll never be an actual face of the NBA because he's deeply unlikeable. Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, and others could be tough personalities, bitter at times, but Wemby has, absolutely, the worst sportsmanship of any major player I've seen. Dirty and nasty player.
I don't hate guys for trying to take advantage of a weak team to stat pad some World Cup goals, but there's something eerily sinister about the way Germany do it. I can't explain it but it doesn't sit well with my spirit
