The ability for AI to decompile applications is about to change software forever. Apps and Games are about to exist only in the cloud, require always-on connections to an api, or the devs need to not care. Compiled software is no longer "secure". Everything is "open source" now.
@PaulTassi Ah yes. The "farm public events" DLC. I was leading new lights through the game and we got to his expansion and I said "And now we spend several hours farming public events for gear so we can progress the story" They logged out and never asked to play more after that.
You should bring back a version of the D1 mentor/friend program. A new player and a veteran go through content together and earn unique cosmetics. For new players, highlight the journey IN THE CORRECT ORDER over highlighting the new content.
I'm disappointed that it took getting to this point before Bungie decided to start listening. We told you sunsetting was bad. We told you FOMO was bad. Bringing back the content we paid for that you took away is a decent start towards repairing the relationship.
As you return the content to the game, you need to put a seriously talented team on the sole task of creating a very good New Light experience. I tried to get my friends into the game and there's literally no direction to guide a new player through the campaings.
So, after Open AI unveiled Astra with that video showing essentially a lay person turning into a game dev, I decided to try it myself. I had it make an anime version of a character from one of my stories and then tried to have it make a 3d model of that character in blender.
@PaulTassi Not buying. I don't like what they are doing and choose to show them by not opening my wallet. I know it'll still make hundreds of millions, but I just can't support this kind of bs.
@Bungie And now my processing of grief starts all over again.
I am so sorry to those members of Bungie who are losing their jobs. Know that your efforts are greatly appreciated by the community and we stand with you. You sent Destiny 2 out on a high note and should be proud.
@A_dmg04 Absolutely loving the update. If this is what we get when the dev team is allowed to cook without manglement in the way, they should have been allowed to do this years ago. Food for thought for Marathon. You can't always assign a ROI to fun.
It's been a minute, Guardians. I just want to give a very heartfelt thank you to the @DestinyTheGame team and community. I've made some amazing friends over the years thanks to this game, and had many moments I will never forget.
