Yes boy racers are a concern. When a young driver tries to intimate a dad for asking him to slow down whilst his children are playing it is not on. Another person had to collaborate to calm the driver down.

Why? He was at fault.

This brings onto another subject.

20mph was enforced for safety yet drivers are overtaking on the inside and outside and still speeding more the 30mph.

These are the drivers that need to be monitored and not safe drivers who would drive at 20 in areas before the 30mph was enforced. It really is ridiculous having to drive at 20mph on a clear open road with no visible human beings in sight. No vehicles blocking blind areas. Its congesting the roads.

Who knew Thornhill Crematorium has two chapels. We didn’t and almost attended the wrong funeral service.

Thank goodness we asked to see an order of service.

Cannot speak Welsh but attending a billingual service made us proud to be Welsh.

HMRC make it so hard to login, makes you wonder if they really want your money.

1. What is your UTR number. No idea….try to source this number but in order to do so you need to download an app and go through id checks.
2. Login using this qr code.
3. QR code not working.
4. Are you are veteran? Nope. Cannot undo this part.
5. You didn’t use this email last time you logged in.
6. We need more security.
7. No definately not a veteran.
8. What is your gateway ID.
9. What is your password.
10. When was the last time you paid tax and how much.

Gave up and just paid the damned thing after finding a letter. Lets hope the UTR number from the letter is correct.

More funding for Dementia research is a must.

We need a voluntary organisation set up in hospitals to help care specifically for dementia patients. We know they exist but hospitals need more help.

Some patients needed help with basic cleanliness care. These are basic needs to give people dignity on a ward.

One patient was still in the same clothing from the previous day and the smell of urine was awful.

Imagine this being your own family or even yourself in years to come.

This is not a third world country.

We’re all living in the same big fishbowl, sharing the same space, and the same hopes for a better future for generations to come. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we could all make a little more effort to get along, even when we do not see things in the same way?

People are right to feel angry when they are ignored or mistreated. The challenge is expressing that anger clearly without encouraging hatred towards others.
These attitudes can have a real knock-on effect; Have seen them spread among schoolchildren after political views about certain faith groups were shared. We should remember that children from many faiths and beliefs were born in this country. This is their home, and it always has been.

We are always going to have different views, different backgrounds, and different experiences that shape how we think. That does not have to be a bad thing. In fact, it can make life richer, broader, and more interesting if we are willing to listen properly instead of simply waiting for our turn to speak.

Respecting opposing views does not mean we have to abandon our own beliefs; it simply means recognising that other people may have arrived at their opinions honestly too. We could all benefit from accepting that we are not always right, that we do not have all the answers, and that a bit of humility can go a long way. It would also help to remember that all political parties, like all people, have some good points and some bad ones. None of them has a perfect monopoly on fairness.

Life would feel a lot calmer if we gave each other a little more patience, a little more time to listen, a little more grace, and a little more room to be human.

Thank you to staff from the NHS

Yesterday family member went to A&E for urgent care. Would like to give huge praise to the GP for their advice, the staff member at St John’s Ambulance, the Paramedics and staff member on the major ward.

One conversation I wasn’t expecting related to resuscitation and having that conversation with family members. People with dementia can still laugh, talk, and live a full live even if it means they need looking after. They are still human.

Well done NHS staff.

Hi All and welcome to our July issue

In 2012, local residents Keith and Eirwen Jones contacted Cardiff Times. We became friends, and I visited their family home several times. Keith, who had Parkinson’s himself, and Eirwen were passionate supporters of @ParkinsonsUK and were keen to promote the charity whenever they could. After Keith sadly passed away, I stayed in touch with Eirwen. She was a strong supporter of local businesses and often championed them through her articles. Eirwen passed away peacefully in June. It is people like Eirwen and Keith who help bring communities together. Eirwen was a kind woman and exceptionally knowledgeable. She was like a grandparent you would want for your own. I shall miss her. I dedicate this issue to my dear friend Eirwen.

A local resident called Eirwen Jones contacted us several years ago saying how much she enjoyed reading the local articles and found the advertisements for local businesses really useful.

We became friends. I visited her home several times and met her dear husband Keith. Sadly he passed away several years ago but I continued to stay in touch with Eirwen.

Sadly, she passed away this week.

I will miss her kind charismatic personality. She was beautiful on the inside and out.

Have consistently invited people to attend St Martin in Roath in Cardiff. The church is home to everyone regardless of faith or no faith.

However, the amount of hatred online towards people of certain faiths in this country is completely unacceptable.
