The 2019 Care Experienced Conference reports are available here. We hope that the new #ASGLB chair @krishk and yet to be announced chair of the English #CareReview take time and care to read what so many from the #CareExperienced community contributed to. https://t.co/swRWiRLnN0
The process of exploring biological familial ties doesn’t mean that adopted parents should feel threatened or insecure, it’s a journey of better understanding oneself for the adoptee.

📣 Can those individuals who wish to attend Yusuf's virtual funeral service please send me a private message with your e-mail details so I am able to forward the link and access instructions.
A sad thread by @article_39 about the care review & who was invited to the opening. I note a few care experienced individuals (not identified) but not those who campaigned so vigorously for a Review. Why did it take a request from Article 39 to identify who received invitations?

Neither @Careexpconf
or @OurCareOurSay2
made ANY comment or recommendation on who should chair the review.
There was no discussion about this appointment on the event days or recommendations on who should chair the review in the reports.
@HackneyChild @OYFtheBook
@HackneyChild @OYFtheBook Just a note. Neither Sharon' Our Care Our Say project or the earlier Conference for Care Experienced People (CareExpConf) reports commented either way on chairmanship of the a care review.

Very disappointed to see the Our Care Our Say report, & most particularly the Conference for Care Experienced People (CareExpConf) reports, cited as somehow favouring a particular Chair for the Care Review. None of these reports commented at all on who should chair a care review

It will be @10PYusuf#YusufPaulMCCormack’s birthday tomorrow. Taken far too soon from his family, friends and colleagues.
We will be lighting a candle at 8pm to remember him on his birthday. Please join us if you would like to.🕯✨
