We had a brilliant visit to Calico House today, where Connor and James introduced our residents to some incredible new tech—including the launch of HomeSight, which we believe will be a fantastic addition to our residents rooms here at Calico. We’re buzzing to share more of the content we’ve been working on, but for now, here’s the view we get to enjoy every day at Calico House 😁

We are delighted to introduce our latest addition to the Care Technology Project - The Alexa Show 10!
We first spotted this device during our visit to Blantyre Life, and it immediately caught our attention—so much so that we were inspired to bring one into our Head Office.
The Alexa Echo Show 10 is a smart display with a rotating screen that follows your movement, making video calls, reminders, and interactive features more accessible. For our service users, it can provide hands-free assistance, entertainment, and help reduce feelings of loneliness.
The process involves strategically installing a secondary Alexa Show device into the homes of qualifying service users, This will enable us to connect with them remotely through video calls using the “call” or “drop-in” features. This allows us to check in quickly, provide reassurance, and offer support when needed—helping to enhance communication, reduce isolation, and promote greater independence for our service users.
