@usekamiapp Kami is a game changer. I have my students up and running with it, and it's time saver for me. Looking forward to using this with Google Classroom.
School/District leaders, if you're not including teachers on the committees that are planning for opening schools in the fall, you're missing a VERY important voice.

Educators,
Covid-19 is not the time to pull out the bells and whistles. Instead it's the time to Keep Things Simple. Academically, prioritize what's most important and nothing more. Less is more here!
#COVID2019
#OneWord for 2020 is PRESENT. To be present means having focus, attention, thoughts and feelings all fixed on what/who is there at that moment. 2019's word was choose, and 2018 was fierce.

Sometimes as educators, we need a break from a student.
This brief separation can be healthy & beneficial to the long-term sustainability of the #relationship.
Let’s remember though, this door swings both ways & there are times when a student needs a break from us.

It doesn’t just feel personal, it is personal.
Remember though, if someone is willing to take the time to provide you honest, timely, and actionable feedback, they care about you.
Definitely principals and counselors! I know some that would have no problems with this. And the others? Let's say that's why they're not in the classroom anymore.
EVERY administrator should have to teach at least one class while they are a principal, superintendent, etc. You know, so they don’t forget the challenges of being a teacher and the supports we need. #EdChat#EduTwitter#Edu#Superintendents#Principals
Wouldn't this make a huge difference with our subs? We have a big problem with getting subs so anything we can do to support them would be a move in the right direction.
SCHOOL CULTURE...
Challenge - walk the halls and go CHECK on classes with substitute teachers.
This allows you to be SEEN everyday everywhere! It builds relationships with kids and helps ensure “school initiatives” are followed.
