Praying a prayer to ensure we go to heaven when we die is not the same as knowing God.
The first is merely an insurance plan for a sinner, while the latter is allegiance to the One who sets people free and transforms lives.
Let's let the kindom of God come into our lives so we can live accordingly, that might be a better perspective of "His kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven" since the incarnation is to heal humanity first, not just send them to heaven or bring circumstancial blessing.
Emotions are not to be ignored in the name of spirituality. They are not merely a side effect of living in a “sinful body.” They are signals that should be examined and then brought into Christ, so that you, as a whole being (body, soul, and spirit), may be healed.

Everyone wants redemption-it’s not exclusive to religious people. Don’t you want freedom from your past mistakes? You can’t go back and fix them, but you can redeem the present by choosing what’s right today and taking action.

We live in response to the Divine, promoting relationship & growth. Much of religion tries deny even the partaking of the Divine because of focus on ones depravity. New thought claims self as Divine while promoting oneself with no manifestation.
We have a culture that avoids discomfort at all ods! We see "not giving in to our comforts" as limitations and we don't see the wholeness and freedom that we have available behind embracing discomfort.
