@ParkerPhonics @ReadingShanahan And, really, the decodable phase doesn’t even have to last very long for typically-developing kids. They can move through the system very quickly. For dyslexic kids, decodable texts are important fir a longer period of time. (IMHO)

@ParkerPhonics I am on the hunt for free/low-cost decodable books. Parents truly don’t know which way to turn. Their little struggling readers want so badly to read, but they’ve been taught to guess via predictable garbage books. I’d love to point them in the right direction.
