@AXSTV I was lucky enough to have met OZZY Osborne at a record signing event of his last album Patient #9 at a record store in Long Beach CA. I made a complimentary remark and he looked at me and thanked ME for being a fan!! Wow 🤩 I was speechless.. something I never forget

Photographer Ken Regan caught this shot during the final week of the Rolling Stones' Steel Wheels North American tour. Guns N' Roses was brought in to open the final shows of the run.

The timing of this photo is perfect, capturing them right before their worldwide pay-per-view broadcast. During the actual shows, Axl and Izzy joined the Stones on stage to perform a heavy version of Salt of the Earth.

In 1980, German photographer Lilo Raymond captured John Lennon and Yoko Ono during their daily stroll through the streets of Manhattan. It wasn’t a studio shoot or a special event, they were simply two people walking through their city, completely unaware of what was to come.

Those images show the couple in their simplest routine, far removed from the global icon Lennon had become after The Beatles’ breakup. At that time, John was enjoying a period of relative family calm, devoted to his son Sean and preparing his return to music with the album Double Fantasy, which would be released just weeks later.

Exactly 100 days later, on December 8, 1980, Lennon would be murdered outside the Dakota building, his home in Manhattan.

@CiciTee1 The weather was hotter than usual in the LA area but I never check the weather in their area so I’m not sure what it was before they left. I imagine they had the same triple digits we did. they would initially find it a little cold there. Those kids didn’t need coats in CA!

At the 1989 MTV Awards, Tom Petty started "Free Fallin'" alone, then Axl Rose emerged from the shadows to join him.

Two completely different voices, Petty's laid-back drawl and Axl's howl, sharing one mic. Nobody saw it coming.
