With pride, gratitude, and a level of vulnerability I seldom share, I can say this: creating this program is one of the most important things I have ever done.

It changed me.

It is not that I have not done things that mattered before. I have. But this mattered in a way that felt deeply personal. For a long time, I had not felt that rare combination of doing something that was meaningful to me and valuable to other people.

This program gave me purpose. It reminded me that bringing people together around ideas, stories, public life, and yes, EXCITEMENT, is not just what I do. It is who I am.

More than anything, I find myself yearning to continue this work in new forms and new places. Because it had a profound impact on my life. And I hope it had an impact on the lives of those it touched as well.

@joansbroccoli If people are interested but it's not that compelling of a story & only in hindsight, knowing what we now know, does it feels creepy - to me too! Back in '05 she seemed like just another girl about town. She had a 1000 friends. Maybe I'll write about it..thanks for the idea! 😘
