They should be an elite 3P shooting team and defense, especially with PG.
They were already awesome in the possession game, and should be even better now with Mitch.
They have quality secondary ballhandlers.
If Tatum looks like his best self, they can absolutely win the East.
I don't like the Jaylen Brown trade for Boston, but I think they're going to be a much better team than Philly and could easily be better than they were last year.
Tatum + White + PG + Pritchard + Mitch with good depth and great coaching is an elite two-way foundation.

If the Celtics go further than the 76ers this year, I get to dress Logan up like my own little doll for 365 days, he said so live on the podcast, no take backs

For Philly, I get it — you see an opportunity to get off PG's contract, upgrade your talent now and get a potential long-term cornerstone.
I can't say I like the fit with Jaylen alongside Maxey and Embiid, though. They are officially anti-passing as a team.
Wow. It certainly seems like the relationship with Brown was beyond repair for Boston. I don't think they do this otherwise.
I actually really like the fit with PG in Boston but considering age/contract/availability... this seems just as much about them wanting to get off Brown.
BLOCKBUSTER: The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.
I like this a lot for the Spurs. They had a clear need at PF and Harris should fit well for them on both ends. Good use of cap on a short-term deal while they still have Wemby/Harper/Castle for cheap.
Just in: Free agent forward Tobias Harris has agreed to a two-year, $31 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell ESPN. Harris exits the Pistons after helping lead a franchise turnaround and now joins a young contending team in the Western Conference.
This is going to be awesome for Boston. I love them adding a physically dominant, all-time great OREBer and good vertical spacer who will also be their best defensive big. He gives them a very distinct look they can turn to.
Painful loss for the Knicks. Not easily replaceable.
Free agent center Mitchell Robinson has agreed to a three-year, $47.4 million deal to sign with the Boston Celtics, with a player option in third season, sources tell ESPN. Robinson departs the Knicks after serving a key role on the historic championship team.
The Lakers have now dedicated ~45% of their cap space through 2030 to Reaves + Kessler.
The only FRP they control over the next seven years is in 2032.
They have very little maneuverability here… and I don’t think they’re good enough to be in that spot.
Wow. The need was obvious and I like Kessler but this is a massive price to pay between the picks and the contract. I like the pairing but this is an overpay to me.
Breaking: The Lakers are acquiring Walker Kessler from the Jazz for unprotected first-round picks in 2031 and 2033 and first-round swaps in 2028 and 2030, sources tell @ShamsCharania.
Kessler will sign a massive four-year, $130 million deal with the Lakers.
I like this a lot for Detroit. Good value to add a vertical spacer who's also shot 40% 3P over the last two seasons. He and Cade should complement each other nicely.
Free agent John Collins has agreed to a three-year, $51 million deal to sign with the Detroit Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Frontcourt addition and a new lob threat for Cade Cunningham in Detroit.
Hardaway agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Heat, sources said. Miami officials finalized the deal with Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tonight.
Kawhi just averaged 27.9 PPG on 62.9% TS with a +14.1 on-off swing.
The Clippers were 37-28 when he played and 5-12 when he didn't.
He's still easily a Top 10 player when healthy. I can't wait to see him and Scottie play together.
The fit here is awesome, Kawhi is still insanely good and getting off of Ingram + his contract justifies the draft compensation Toronto's giving up.
Toronto was already good, but needed more high-end talent to content. Now they arguably have two Top 15 players. This is cool.
BREAKING: The Los Angeles Clippers are nearing deal sending Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, 2 first-round picks, 1 pick swap and 2 second-rounders, sources tell ESPN. A return to Canada for the Raptors champion and two-time Finals MVP.
