I lived as a boy in London when the Queen celebrated her Silver Jubilee. Though I am German, this speaks to me. Boris Johnson does have a gift for finding the right words.
Fabulous that so many people are stepping up to offer rooms to refugees. It makes such a difference when refugees are spoken about as real people with real lives and real stories rather than the usual talk about swarms, jungles and cockroaches.
The liar vs. the truth-teller: chances are that the liar is not only more persuasive but sounds more logical. A sobering insight. A question to ask: how can truth-tellers counter their disadvantage?
Great thoughts here on hybrid events. Think of it as two separate conferences! Have a second Master of Ceremony for the 'virtual' participants. Most of all: let's think afresh so that virtual participants get the same value @DrNickMorgan https://t.co/BsH4myEvuU

No way this heading could not get my attention. And it's a fascinating story too. https://t.co/dDmLImIbJT
Improving your voice can be the hardest improvement to make for public speaking. @DrNickMorgan has a wonderful tip here: Never start to speak unless you are clear how you feel about what you are saying.

"The creative possibilities are exciting and terrifying." It's a quote from the article and it's pretty much how I felt while reading it. #writing#speaking

I enjoyed co-moderating an event this evening between #Rotarians and #Toastmasters in Belgium. We explored what we can learn from each other and how we can cooperate. There's lots of potential to do good together. #inspired#rotary
@maxatkinson Dear Max, this reminds me that it is always a good idea to be forthcoming with feedback. I think it's also one of the big benefits of trainings - that participants finally hear from others that they are already doing a lot of things well as speakers.
Do you sometimes moderate an event, a panel, an important meeting? And do you now have to do it on camera? That is more challenging but this has been my experience: the key to finding my on-camera moderating mojo is the same as for any other moderation.

Dealing with stage fright: if you are traumatised by a negative experience, remember it from a 3rd person perspective. I didn't know this but I could see it working. Either way, it's worth the try. https://t.co/eTMW8HRVRA
