Here is the word on #physician owned hospital legislation (#poh) from D.C.

It’s turning into a political fight.

One side doesn’t want the other side to win.

Politicians, all of them, have forgotten that legislation is to be debated on its merits, not what wins talking points on @FoxNews and @MSNBC .

The facts are these and they are undisputed.

•Physicians owned hospitals offer the best medical care at the lowest prices.

•The US has 2.5x the spend of the next western country.

•If every hospital had physician owned prices, we’d be 1.25x the rest of the world.

You see, as a general matter, physicians care about patients and their focus is on patient care.

The focus for insurance companies and private equity is return on investment.

Physician owned hospitals ought to be supported by every member of the legislative branch of government.
