After six incredible years, my time with @NHLBlackhawks has come to a close.
As a kid whose life centered around hockey for as long as I can remember, ‘making it’ to the NHL and working for an Original Six franchise was nothing short of a dream job. I had a front-row seat to countless unforgettable moments, traveled the globe and made some incredible lifelong friends along the way.
I’m excited for the future and the chance to spend more with my wife and our growing family. Without this job bringing me to Chicago six years ago, I would have neither. For that, I will forever be grateful.
The conversation around making Nick Foligno the next to wear the ‘C’ was one that permeated the #Blackhawks offices throughout the offseason. But in the end, the decision wasn’t much of a decision at all.
“I don't think anyone around the facility or around the team can really see anyone but Nick as the leader of this current Blackhawks team.”

For Chris Chelios, all roads lead home to Chicago.
"Growing up in Chicago, being at the Hawks games, I was like a lion coming out of a cage. And it was it was too good to be true the way things went my first year."
