Taking psychedelics oneself doesn’t automatically qualify someone to practice psychedelic therapy/healing. I know many with multiple psychedelic experiences who are not in a position to help others. #knowyoursitter

The problem with the “anti-psychiatry” and “anti-12step” sentiment is the demonization aspect of the target. If “free society depends on the dignity of dissent”, respect for psychiatry or 12steps is possible without agreement and without demonizing. What am i missing?
Current medicalization of psychedelics into industrial society doesn’t take into account that modern industrial society is the root of the problems people bring to heal with psychedelics. We must address the roots of our problems within, but also the seeds which lie without.
Should we fear change? What can take place without it? It is a pleasing process that marks universal nature. Can u eat without food undergoing change? Can anything useful be done w/out change? Can we see that for us it is equally necessary for universal nature?

❤️the passion to prevent opioid deaths by mass deployment of opioid agonists and antagonists, and OD reversal meds. At same time, it’s not working and more mass deployment may not work to ⬇️ deaths, the majority being connected to mental health, polypharm and polydrug and etoh.
Psychiatry uses terms like “Inadequate Response to Antidepressant Treatment” “poor responders” or “treatment resistant”. Followed by terms like “augmenting” “adjunctive” “inadequate dose or duration” “poor adherence” and “misdiagnosis” ... perhaps it’s not all about medications?
Maybe the whole “gotta go to college” thing is undergoing a radical shift. Colleges/Universities that aren’t leading the way to new models of learning will fail. New institutions and systems of learning are emerging. Out with old. In with new.
I sometimes feel blah when people say “when things get back to normal”. Is that what we want? To go BACK to “normal”, like pre-COVID was normal? Instead, for me, it’s like: “I’m eager to see how things unfold and to be a part of it”! ❤️🌀❤️
People who reject 12step ideas due to religiosity may not fully understand #psychedelics. 12steppers who reject psychedelics as a shortcut to spiritual experiences may be shortsighted. The synergy of models to personal growth is intense. https://t.co/IHQR27k1tn
“Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change - this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress."
~Bruce Barton
“High Intensity Drinking” ... am i the only one amused by that terminology? What do we call adding cannabis use to the mix, “High High Intensity Drinking”? 😊😜
