I really really dislike extended cuts or "revised" versions of movies, with very few exceptions. Sometimes studio meddling ruins a great film, i.e. Once Upon a Time in America or Blade Runner.

And then there was the revised Cats that was released while it was in theaters.

Last night we watched Jingle All the Way. It's got lousy reviews, but I can't figure out why. It seems to be an all-around competent movie.

Also, we watched the extended version. Honestly, the theatrical cut is better. Which isn't surprising. "Extended cuts" are usually crap.

Went into Merry Friggin Christmas expecting trash, but it was alright. Solid average movie, I'd rate it maybe a 5 or 6 out of 10. Somewhat bittersweet watching one of Robin Williams's last performances, but I liked him here. God he was a versatile actor
