Both effective principals and teachers play critical roles in a school's success. A skilled principal sets the vision, provides support, and creates a positive school culture, while effective teachers deliver quality instruction and foster student growth. It's a symbiotic relatio
@EbonyBetts99 I think creating an environment that is nurturing and supportive is vital for principals to be successful. This will lead to a positive school climate.
@techatgalloway Serving marginalized students is crucial for fostering equality and ensuring that everyone has access to education and opportunities. It helps address systemic injustices, promotes diversity, and cultivates a more inclusive society where everyone can thrive regardless of bckgrd
@CoachAllen1975 This is absolutely true! Finding a way to balance all three and do so effectively can prove to be a challenge and a leader’s dedication to this balance will bring success.
@techatgalloway Your statement is so true and reflects the importance of being an effective leader that no one should take lightly. I hope I will always strive to be the kind of leader my school needs!
Social systems theory can be beneficial for a school as it provides a framework for understanding how various components within the school interact and influence each other. A leader must examine the school as a dynamic system of interconnected parts. @GSUEdLead
The readings identifies Webs theory of bureaucracy to be a failure because he doesn’t recognize individual needs. Because we are human beings, if a school leader only focuses on the bureaucratic elements, we fail in supporting the needs of our staff as individuals #gsuedlead
@3rdwithUnger It takes creative planning and strategic execution to put leaders in place that will ensure the student population is diverse and culturally appropriate.
@techatgalloway Some ways to diversify leadership is implementing inclusive hiring practices, offering professional development opportunities for underrepresented groups, creating mentorship programs, establishing affinity groups for staff of color, and actively recruiting diverse candidates
@techatgalloway Looking forward to completing the journey we began together as Tier I students. I plan to check out the books you mentioned. Thanks for sharing!
@w_jankovic Great to meet you! Thanks for the suggestion of your book. I am looking forward to continuing to interact with you at the end of our journey. #GSUEdLead

@EbonyBetts99 Well said. As a school leader, I would never expect a teacher to do something that I would do myself. Leaders gain more respect by being strong but also humble. Nothing should ever be beneath them when tasks need to be completed.
@Int3llectIvy This is so important. I watched the same video and I thought there are leaders who have a stronger tendency toward this than others. I hope I never get to the point that I think my perspective only matters.
@GSUEdLead Our brain naturally drifts to thinking we are always right known as as “naive realism.” As leaders, we should be cognizant that this is a known tendency and be proactive by challenging our own viewpoints and considering others.
@techatgalloway Yes, growth should always be welcomed and accepted and a combination of these two type of employees are important but having a balance of the qualities in each person becomes more valuable
@hwgsu2023 I love this! I think visibility creates a sense of support and trust among staff. Isolating yourself makes others question your intentions and shows a lack of leadership
@GSUEdLead What holds people back from seeking answers to their questions? Employees often fear they will be perceived as being clueless and will lose accreditation. Research has shown that by allowing employees to remain anonymous, they are more productive in the working place
@AThomasLeads Relationships are key to being a leader and managing them effectively. I believe when a staff feels supported and understood, they are more likely to respect you as a leader.

@AllStarCollins I agree with your last statement about disagreement. It doesn't mean the
conversations we have are failures because of disagreement but it invites and respects all viewpoints
