@RachelCharleneL Gossiping only has negative connotations because it’s connected with female behaviour. Gossiping is just another word for talking. Deborah Tannen has written some good work on the subject.
@laurenthehough What’s the thinking behind that? Surely they’re not worried that the dog won’t speak the language in another State?! You could assure them that you’ll always put on an Austin accent around the dog...
@nedboulting Just to go off-topic, because I think yours has been answered in the comments: since they wear helmets and singlasses on-bike and masks off-bike, isn’t it lucky we can recognize them by their knees?
@laurenthehough Does the word “pretty” appear anywhere in your book? That’s clearly not an adverb so I’m guessing they’re just missing the quotation marks.
@bjh_ip Having said that, the French patent is now harder to obtain since they introduced substantive examination in May 2020. Might as well go straight to Europe if à granted patent is your aim.
@elliotwhu @JohnDiesattheEn My first meal after giving birth in London, having asked for spaghetti bolognaise, salad and yoghurt, was 8 pieces of macaroni and some gravy, a piece of lettuce and a zero fat yoghurt. Then I was told off for not taking in enough calories to breastfeed. 😢
