Simon has been consistent on the issue.
We would not have Farage knocking on the door of our members had our general secretary called them out sooner.

We saved Steve's site at GE Rugby by building a strong campaign with the support of other GE sites and politicians nationally as well as the support of trade unions in GE across Europe. The site now employs over 800 people - 3 times as many as in 2019 - and is growing fast. A collective effort that shows by standing together we can save our sites.
I do not hesitate in telling Nigel Farage where he can stick his offer. The idea our union would affiliate to Reform when they are attacking our members and pledging to take away our workplace protections is a sick joke.
The silence from Sharon Graham is worrying when other unions are speaking up. I am calling on Sharon Graham to confirm our union is not and will not hold talks with Reform or any far-right party.

My industrial work has taken me across the UK, Ireland, and around the world. I have seen the power of unity, friendship and solidarity in action. This is what a new start for our union looks like. Watch & listen!
I have written these open letters to our union’s Officers, Organisers and staff whose work with our reps & members is invaluable and must be respected again.
Sharon Graham is wrong. We cannot 'dance,' 'talk,' or do deals with the devil.
It is not sufficient to say Reform are not the party of workers. Their attack on our members and our union must be answered.
My pledge to you: If elected I will not be taking the General Secretary’s salary or any pay increase. I will open the books to end years of secrecy.
A new start for our union begins with transparency and accountability.
