@SamRoy84 Seales's average pace would be around 132 kph mark (and I can attest to this having viewed him in Tests since that debut of his vs South Africa where immediately his immense potential & skillset made me suggest to a friend to turn on his television set and watch him).

@SamRoy84 Philander would average over the course of his career around the 128 kph mark (80 mph).

While Seales can bowl the odd one much quicker (ala in this series and in England where a fair number approached 140kph), it would be a stretch to suggest he's consistently 10 kph quicker

@SamRoy84 @CricketTrend308 Philander also wasn't predominantly an outswing bowler barring the very initial phase of his career.

Sure he could swing it but often had excellent upright seam presentation when not trying to wobble it (which is more often then people choose to remember).

@dweplea @the_kk It's funny also because Azharuddin played in my mind in the 80s and 90s some knocks with the most uninhibited stroke play mirroring Brook's like at the Test matches at Lords 1990, Eden Gardens 1996, Cape Town 1997, etc...

Even has a ton in NZ in 1998 that has parallels to Brook

@the_kk @dweplea Harry Brook has played about 4 years worth of Test match cricket (debuting in 8 August 2022 to now - 30 Tests in whole)

By the end of this Test match, he will average somewhere around 57-58.

Azharuddin in his first 4 years (December 1984-1987 in 23 Tests) averaged 50.32!

@the_kk @dweplea I suspect his career will pan out with perhaps a similar trajectory to that of Azharuddin's, with intense spurts of run-getting (like the one we are seeing now) followed by fallow troughs.
