The Soprano Pipistrelle is just one of the four bat species we know visits @CastleParkBS - the other species being Common Pipistrelle, Daubentons and Serotine.
The countdown continues - 17 days for #Halloween! Bat species number 2/18 resident UK species is the soprano pipistrelle! This species is very similar to the common pipistrelle but was identified as a separate species in the 1990's due to it's echolocation call's higher frequency
Our Castle Park Health Walk Leaders had a great time last week. Our walks run every Friday. 10.15am for an easy 20 minute first steps walk, 11am for a 30 minute grade 1 walk and 1pm for a moderate 45 minute, grade 2 walk. Meet at the entrance to the park by the Link Road car park
Health Walks continue weekly in Castle Park over the next few months. With a variety of grades of walks there is a walk suitable for all abilities.

Thank you @StortfordIndie for the coverage in this weeks paper about Goodness In The Park. If you attended the event at the weekend, please let us know your thoughts so that we can make the event bigger and better next year! https://t.co/7nhvwIxZEg
@JQWT @ColinWoodward00 We will make sure to get some! The findings so far are being displayed at the museum. We are expecting similar items from this area but you never know what is going to turn up! If you are in town then pop over to see the archaeologists, they will be happy to show you finds so far
This week the tennis courts in Castle Park are closed to allow LP Archaeology to investigate underneath the tarmac. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
This event has been organised by a group of young people, including Liam. They have all worked really hard to make this a big success. They have been joined together by the NCS scheme and have chosen to support the charity MIND with this Fun Day..... https://t.co/qn8zsjF0X0
We had a brilliant day yesterday at our first ever wellbeing event for Castle Park. We would love to be able to run this event again in future years and would appreciate feedback on the event. https://t.co/BpQTGJs4kK
