@jeffvandermeer In larger animals we often collect measurements of single bones representative for the animal's size (lower jaw, shin bone, etc). Scientific terms for those parts may sound like gibberish to non-scientists. I would use a printed-out table and a pencil (robust in case of rain).

The young #greentoad's (#𝘉𝘶𝘧𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘥��𝘴) we are rearing here at @BOKUvienna are growing nicely. As part of my PhD thesis I will research their color change and the factors it is depending on at the lab of @LukasLandler .
