THIS IS HUGE. Bitcoin is Quantum-Safe TODAY.
Even if a quantum computer appeared, one that breaks the conventional Bitcion signatures, it shows a practical way to create safe Bitcoin transactions. WITH NO CHANGE TO BITCOIN PROTOCOL!!!
HyperCore will support outcome trading (HIP-4). Outcomes are fully collateralized contracts that settle within a fixed range. They are a general-purpose primitive that are useful for applications such as prediction markets and bounded options-like instruments. There has been extensive user demand in both of these areas, and builders will likely think of novel applications as well.
Outcomes bring non-linearity, dated contracts, and an alternative form of derivative trading that does not involve leverage or liquidations. The outcome primitive expands the expressivity of HyperCore, while composing with other primitives such as portfolio margin and the HyperEVM.
Outcomes are a work in progress and currently only being tested on testnet. Canonical markets based on objective settlement sources will be deployed once technical development is complete. Canonical markets will be denominated in USDH. Pending user feedback, the infrastructure will be extended to permissionless deployment.
A couple suggestions:
• PnL for multiple Multiply positions — it’s been saying ‘coming soon’ for a long time.
• An option to merge multiple Multiply positions of the same pair into a single one, since in the early days we had to open a new position every time we wanted to add more funds.
no this is a psyop by early crypto people to convince the feds that ppl wouldn't use blockchains for bad things
the point of crypto has never been transparency, it has always been verifiability
(specifically verify trust without a central authority)
i.e verify that this guy has the money he says he does, verify that my money is mine, verify that he's not rugging me
transparency was the first way of doing verification in 2008 because we didn't have the tech we have today
it is the blackberry of blockchain tech
now we have ZK and can have integrity/trust with privacy
the individual should always have a choice in what they disclose, their intent should be private
but the public aggregates (i.e markets, results) should be public
do not confuse these
@jon_charb@mert also called SUI last year (when it was $0.5–0.6) by mentioning expanding Helius to SUI. Just buy what the bald guy mentions in his tweets.
