@Simon_Hypixel Ok genuinely, I can't get the hammers to break/damage solid blocks at all. What ever is controlling what blocks a tool can attempt to damage clearly isn't the Tool field in Functionality or anything else I can find on the tools in the Asset Editor.
@Simon_Hypixel Just got done adding a new weapon type today.
I got lazy and reused the Longsword player animations for it, but I think it still feels fairly unique in practice.
Might let it actually damage/break stone blocks later.
I've finally gotten around to making custom player animations for my Lantern off-hand weapon.
It was a good few hours of work *for a single weapon*, and I'd be lying if I said it was wholly original (based on the Torch animation set).

Here's kind of a collection of recordings for my Sloc Gorm (core) mod and the adventure map that depends on it.
I've had to slow down fairly significantly this past month to deal with dental issues, but I'm back in action now.
I'm most prominently focused on combat and progression currently; there's a lot of foundation I'm missing now that I've moved Tale of the Sunsword's development over from Minecraft, and I need to get back to building my map's environment again soon.
Tomorrow I might get a hammer weapon modeled that will be kind of like the mace weapon, but I'll look into letting it break blocks possibly.
None of this has any custom code; I've not gotten anywhere near far enough with learning JDK software for that, but I'll continue doing the best I can with Asset editing.
@Simon_Hypixel Applied to both roles, doesn't matter to me which I get, I'm used to doing everything for my projects.
I don't have anything overwhelmingly amazing to show in Hytale yet, but I know I can make a difference and that this is the path I want to take in life.
@Simon_Hypixel wow, while I can definitely see the Hytale identity showing through these, the much greater sense of pre-Bedrock era Minecraft adventure maps in these is giving me a touch of nostalgic longing.

I want to be part of what I view as the correct path forward, and I want my continued existence to be supported by that same endeavor (I can't sustain my own free labor much longer).

I decided to sprinkle a bit of realism into archery by giving them a rapid timing element and making them cost stamina to use (in addition to arrows), but nailing the timing drastically increases their power.
The idea is that you want to draw and release in one fluid motion (the timing will be better telegraphed when I make the custom animation for it, the release window is about a third of a second).
Release too soon, and the arrow barely flies.
Hold too long, and you'll exhaust your muscles.
No more cheap Hollywood 30 lbs prop-bows for me.

I should note that as I was rushing to replace the Sapphirine Star's view bubble that used to be solid ice blocks, I blue-screened while loading chunks, came back in front of the southern orchard with splices of mountain chunks scattered everywhere.
I love safe world back-ups.
I couldn't bear to wait any longer for a see-through glass to be added, so I did it myself, now I can see out the Sapphirine Star's cockpit bubble.
