@orbrealm@DeemTheDreem Oh yeah this doesn't have to do with factions or the nba, I was just wondering more generally. Especially considering that his anti-china stance went against that of the NBA and LeBron in 2019, both whom likely have ties to the state too (or are at least told what to say by them)
@orbrealm@DeemTheDreem Do you think that Kanter is an asset of a faction of the state that wants more direct conflict with China, whereas Silver/the NBA represents a faction that doesn't? This was making me think back to the Hong Kong controversy in 2019, then Kanter's subsequent anti-China statements
@orbrealm@neogibbon Is this about the “painful truth is better than blissful ignorance” part of my tweet? (Can’t tell bc the account replying to me is locked.) If so, I’m glad it moved you that much! I just googled it and it most likely originates from former Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg tho😬😬😬
@orbrealm What are some concrete actions one can take to stop data centers or organize others to stop them? If this is a better discussion for DMs/not in public lmk
@orbrealm Ohhhh no no no I meant explaining to ppl what dialectical propaganda is and how it’s used by the bourg could nudge ppl the right way, I didn’t mean that I wanted to dialectically propagandize *them*. I don’t think that lowly of the masses, nor am I that decietful/malicious😭
@orbrealm Yesss dialectical propaganda is exactly what I was thinking of when I saw it! Dialectical propaganda should be a much better-known concept, I feel like it would be such an easy way to nudge even apolitical people and libs in the right direction (tho I’ve never tried irl so idk)
@orbrealm Oh yeah I kind of guessed it was about Israel but wasn’t sure. You should absolutely give in btw (if you want), hopefully it’ll make a few online lefties realize that “ZOG” is total bs and elucidate the true material, non-ideological reasons for the US’s steadfast support for it
@orbrealm Uhhhh kind of afraid to ask this but is it bad that I can’t really figure out how it relates/is analogous to today? Would love to hear your/others’ thoughts regardless tho
@orbrealm@LouGoobryuss Speaking of economics, have either of y’all seen this thread about the Iran War as potentially being a catalyst for economic restructuring from the US’s perspective? Thought it was pretty interesting. https://t.co/89gCYggWPy
The main problem with this analysis - that this war is for Israeli interests and not US - is that Israel cannot sustain its existence in the absence of American military and economic hegemony in the Middle East, even with a severely battered Iran
@gamergate2077 Speaking as someone who is (presumably) younger than you, what do you mean by this? I feel like I’ve seen what you’re talking about but I’d curious to see what specifically you’re referring to?
