The primary mission of Planned Parenthood is to reduce the number of black babies that are allowed to live. I don’t know why more black liberals don’t understand that. Planned Parenthood doesn’t even hide it.
The federal definition is 2 hours of study time outside of the classroom for every one credit hour. Your professor wasn't just making that up out of thin air. So if you're taking a full load, which is typically 15 credit hours, then you should be studying for 30 hours outside of class time. Reading the textbook will help with that.
I never see former Catholics say, "As a Catholic, I fully trusted Christ’s atonement, I repented of my sins, and knew He is Lord," even though the Church teaches these very things.
The Catholic Church 100% affirms Christ's sufficiency, Lordship, and the necessity for repentance. When it comes to describing Catholic teaching, I place no confidence in former Catholics. They don't know what they left.
This person calls Holy Communion a cookie. More evidence that he didn't know what he left.
As I have repeatedly explained, the Muslim Brotherhood along with their ilk have repeatedly explained that the West will be conquered through three means:
1) The womb of our women
2) Hijrah (the Arabic word for migration)
3) By using your miserable freedoms against you.
Despite screaming their conquest plans from the top of the mountain openly and brazenly, the West is steadfastly refusing to implement auto-corrective procedures to protect our civilization.
Suicidal Empathy is going to destroy us.
@ClassicalTheis I replied on that thread. By the end of my reply for some reason I looked up and I saw his name. Did you notice that? Seems important given the context.
@PlasticGirl1776 First of the camel's nose is under the tent, now his head. Next it will be his neck, then his shoulders, his back, and so on. We have to draw the line somewhere otherwise he will be completely inside the tent and it will be much more difficult to get him out.
Summary:
Avoiding sex during an estimated fertile window (which is to avoid pursuing pregnancy) is not the same thing as being closed to life (contracepting) during a specific sexual act.
Explanation:
First, there's no obligation to pursue pregnancy. The obligation is to be open to life during each and every sexual act. This is different from pursuing pregnancy.
Second, within marriage there is an obligation to have sex but it's not an unrestricted obligation. Limits are placed on it and even St Paul said that couples could abstain for brief times.
Third, regarding intentions and obligations, I'm not really sure what you mean when you use those words. It seems to me that they are not the same when considering contraception versus NFP.
Circumstances:
When contracepting, people have sex whenever they feel like it.
When using NFP, they do not. They practice self control to abstain during the woman's estimated fertility window (the man is always fertile).
Intentions:
I would argue that when contracepting the primary intention is NOT
to avoid pregnancy but rather to have sex whenever people feel like it. They don't want to practice self-control and they don't want to have any regard for the woman's fertile times. If they **primarily** wanted to avoid pregnancy then they could just avoid sex.
The intention for NFP is different. The primary purpose of NFP is obviously NOT to have to have sex at any time. I would argue that, rather, the primary purpose of NFP is avoid pursuing pregnancy. Remember, there's no obligation to pursue pregnancy, only an obligation to be open to life during each and every sexual act. Avoiding sexual acts for brief times is fine. Even St Paul said this. And why would he have said that if there was an obligation to pursue pregnancy?
Under both models, pregnancy can occur or not. If the pregnancy occurs when contracepting, the sexual act occurs during a fertile time AND the intention of using contraception was to stop the pregnancy from happening. There was no respect for the woman's natural fertility and thus it is easier to view the pregnancy as an unwanted event because the intention of contracepting was to be closed to life.
Since there is no obligation to pursue pregnancy, only an obligation to be open to life during each and every sexual act, if the pregnancy occurs under NFP, the couple either "rolled the dice," so to speak by having sex within the woman's estimated fertile window. Or the fertile window was different than what they anticipated it to be-- it is an **estimated** window, after all.
People who follow NFP are being open to life in each and every sexual act.
As an aside, I just noticed your name. 🤔
