@MaryOToole10@alisonleary1 Healthcare is also relational and while it currently often is, relational care should not be subordinate to task orientated care
@alisonleary1 Congratulations @alisonleary1 it was amazing listening to your presentation at the @ILCconnect2care conference earlier this year and you’ll be such a strong advocate for nursing
Awesome @ILCconnect2care Leadership and Mentoring Programme, Nelson, Aotearoa, NZ. Embedding Fundamentals of Care into education, research and practice.
@HorsleyCarl Unfortunately the focus placed on patient flow and through put, does not consider the time it takes for nurses to deliver quality fundamental care or establish relationships, resulting in moral distress, cultural loading and poorer patient outcomes.
Co-designed by a dedicated team to enhance communication and goal-tracking for individuals with chronic health conditions, fostering better interactions with healthcare professionals. #FHBP@mt_lawless@alisonlkitson@Flinders https://t.co/iytfLgA5AG

Wonderful to hear @alisonleary1 again.
“NURSING is a profession of VIGILANCE”
But that is not factored into nursing workload tools or health care workforce planning.
We need to change how nursing is understood and planned.
