As a father of four young kids, I’m voting “NO” on amendment 3. Here’s why:

It would harm kids. The prevalence of gummies and other weed candies create an unacceptable danger to children. Kids are drawn to the way weed companies market these products, which are often indistinguishable from regular candy.

The mental health crisis would worsen. When kids and adolescents use marijuana, their risk of death by suicide increases sharply. Medical marijuana is one thing; for some kids it can be deadly.

It would ruin outdoor spaces for kids. Because this would be part of the Florida constitution, the legislature would be unable to restrict usage in parks and playgrounds.
