Every single day during the presidency of Joe Biden, the Strait of Hormuz was open and free. Biden never pushed to have monuments built for himself. Biden never inserted himself into other peoples' celebratory photos. Biden never made prime time announcements 100% filled with conspiratorial claims. Biden was never impeached, convicted, found liable, or disgorged. Biden never confused one of his ex-wives with a woman he raped. Biden never had hundreds of financial accounts closed for money laundering. And Jill Biden never got up in a huff and left a private suite at a major event two seconds after Joe touched her leg.
I still call it Lake Ontario, and the Kennedy Center, and the Department of Defense, and the Gulf of Mexico. I predict with great certainty that almost all Americans will too a few years from now. This fever will break. The Trump era is winding down.
Trump “doesn’t want to do the job,” Sen. Jon Ossoff said. “He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie.”
To put it mildly, the Georgia senator’s comments touched a nerve at the White House, and it’s worth understanding why.

BREAKING: A long-time John Cornyn staffer just defected to James Talarico's campaign — after calling Ken Paxton "THE MOST CORRUPT" politician in Texas.
In an almost unheard-of political move, a longtime Republican Senate staffer just crossed party lines to join Democrat James Talarico's campaign, delivering a scathing rebuke of GOP nominee Ken Paxton along the way.
Jacob Smith spent five years working for Republican Senator John Cornyn as deputy legislative director and policy adviser. He's now signed on as Talarico's deputy policy director.
"I've worked for Republicans like Senator Cornyn my entire career, but this year I'm proud to be joining James Talarico's campaign," Smith said in a statement. "Instead of playing partisan politics, Talarico speaks to the needs of everyday people who day in and day out work too hard for too little."
Smith didn't hold back on Paxton either: "Ken Paxton is the most corrupt, self-dealing politician in Texas who would sell their futures to the highest contributor just to hold onto power. I'm encouraging all my fellow Republicans who know Ken Paxton is unfit to serve in the Senate to finally hold him accountable at the ballot box."
A Republican operative working on Senate races called this level of cross-party hiring "unheard of." And it's easy to see why Republicans are nervous. This comes after Cornyn himself lost to Paxton in a bitter GOP primary runoff, a defeat that set off real alarm bells within the party, given Paxton's well-documented baggage: an indictment for securities fraud, an impeachment trial, and a publicly reported extramarital affair. Paxton avoided a criminal trial only by agreeing to community service.
The race is now polling as a dead heat, with Talarico picking up meaningful support from independents and even some disillusioned Republicans. As one anonymous Texas GOP operative admitted: "They can't stomach voting for Paxton. That's his biggest weakness in the state."
And Talarico's campaign has the resources to capitalize on that opening. He's already raised more than $70 million — more than any other non-incumbent Senate candidate this cycle, and millions more than Paxton — with grassroots enthusiasm so strong he's had to return donations exceeding legal contribution limits.
When a career Republican staffer walks away from the party to work against your candidacy, and calls you the state's most corrupt politician on the way out, that's not spin. That's a five-alarm warning from inside your own tent.

Psaki: The reason I asked about Natalie Harp is because it’s kind of raised this question out there. More questions about her. He is surrounded by sycophants, no question. I just talked about that. But you specifically mentioned her, and I just wonder why.
Ossoff: Well, I’ve heard this particular aide referred to as his security blanket. And I think we could say that about any number of the senior aides in the White House. They’re not telling him what he needs to hear. They’re telling him what he wants to hear. And the nation is at war, and we cannot afford that. We need a team in the White House—we need folks at the State Department, at the Defense Department, in the United States Congress who take their jobs seriously.
Those sailors out on the Lincoln, they do their jobs with excellence and dedication every single day. They didn’t sign up for luxury. They signed up to defend the country. And the president, surrounded by enablers in the West Wing, is playing golf, is trading stock, and is decorating his ballroom. It’s a disgrace.
@OccupyDemocrats This administration always overreacts to simple questions. The reason is the reporter is on to something. So, when you see anyone in this administration go on the attack about a simple question, dig further because there’s something there, they’re trying to hide.
Let me just pull no punches and put it out there the way it is:
Donald Trump hates Democrats. He also hates Republicans. And - he hates Independents.
He hates Ukraine and Russia, Taiwan and China, Israel and Gaza. He hates Europe. He despises Canada.
He hates the Rule of Law more than anything. He wants to change it, dictate it, be it, weaponize it, and wield it.
He not only hates the countries we deploy our military against, but you know who else he hates? He hates OUR SOLDIERY!
And you know who he not only hates but is also nauseated and disgusted by? His followers!! Privately, he marvels at how gullible they are and scoffs at how easily he influences them.
He has all this hate and no love. No counterbalance to any of his malice. No ability to feel empathy. No sense of shame. No capacity for contrition. He cannot see beyond himself. He has no friends - and the allies he has, are allies based upon their usefulness to him.
So, what DOES he have? Cravings and impulses. He craves attention, adulation, money, power, relevance, revenge, domination, and the illusion of grandiosity.
He is a human id. Deep down, he even hates himself.
He is ill, trapped, miserable, and malign. He is fearful of humiliation, terrified of death, and hates his decline and the fact that he's running out of time.
He is a narcissist, sociopath, fraudster, deviant, traitor, and parasite.
You couldn't build a worse person in a laboratory.
BREAKING: "SOMEBODY NEEDS TO GO TO JAIL!" Jim Acosta ERUPTS after Trump’s board votes to put his name back on Kennedy Center facade.
Journalist Jim Acosta unloaded on Donald Trump and his handpicked Kennedy Center board Thursday, warning that their latest attempt to plaster Trump's name on the building could land someone in serious legal trouble.
The backstory: a federal judge already ordered Trump's name removed from the Kennedy Center's facade. Instead of complying gracefully, workers left a tarp where the name used to be. Now the board has gone further, voting to inscribe new text beneath the main signage reading "Restored and Renovated by President Donald J. Trump" — a move the New York Times calls "an aggressive test" of the judge's order, with the board directing officials to act by "all legal means."
Acosta wasn't having it. "The fact that the Kennedy Center board would actually vote to inscribe his name on the building beneath the main signage is absolute crazy town nuttery!" he said. "Something needs to be done."
He didn't stop there. "If they start chiseling Donald Trump's name into the side of that building—or doing something to change the signage of that building in violation of a judge's order—somebody needs to go to jail! And we know it's not going to be Donald Trump, because Donald Trump will do everything possible to not go to jail. But somebody on that Kennedy Center board, the construction crews who are out there—they should know that you are not to take a chisel to the Kennedy Center and put that crazy lunatic's name on the side of that building!"
Acosta drove home why this matters beyond the legal technicalities: "It is not his building! The building was not named in his honor." He called the Kennedy Center "one of our cultural icons," warning that Trump defacing "a living memorial to John F. Kennedy, who was a real president of the United States" with his own name would be a genuine act of desecration — carried out, in Acosta's words, by "this reality TV game show, dime-store Richard Nixon who wants to act like a crook and thinks he can get away with it all the time."
Acosta's message was blunt: the board members and construction crews defying a federal judge's order aren't just embarrassing themselves. They're exposing themselves to real legal jeopardy to satisfy one man's ego.
While we hope that they do pay the consequences, we know that they’re all just a Trump pardon away from going scot-free. Such is justice in the age of the orange criminal.
Please like and share if you think Jim Acosta is spot on in his outrage!
When the banks needed help, they called it “stabilizing the economy.”
When airlines needed help, they called it “protecting jobs.”
When corporations got tax breaks, they called it “pro-growth.”
When working people need health care? “SOCIALISM.”

Biden never inserted himself into other peoples' celebratory photos. Biden never made prime time announcements 100% filled with false, conspiratorial claims. Biden never paid hush money to a porn star. Biden was never impeached, convicted, found liable, or disgorged. Biden was never banned from owning a charity or forced to close a fake university. Biden never had hundreds of bank accounts closed for money laundering. And Biden never confused an ex-wife with a woman he raped and defamed.
I miss Biden.
FLASHBACK: Donald Trump pleaded the Fifth Amendment during a 2022 deposition. MAGA lost their shit today at Dr. Fauci for doing the same thing and said it is proof of his guilt.
Show them this video to shut down their hypocrisy.
@DemocraticWins@SpeakerJohnson Also, how does it feel to know that God wants nothing to do with a fake Christian who protects pedophiles? That is NOT what he meant when he said: Suffer the little children to come unto me.
@BohuslavskaKate Trump has a history with Putin that predates the 2020 election. I don't disagree with your premise however it lacks historical context. Does anyone think Putz Trump wasnt surveilled when he stayed in hotel rooms during his pageant time in Russia?
@BohuslavskaKate Although this gels with Trumps petty tyranny and revenge it doesn’t account for his visit to russia in the 80’s - from which he returned and took out full page advertising attacking NATO.
Trump Sold out to Putin from the 80’s onwards.
Trump wants to cut VA research by $43 million. When I asked what research the administration wanted to cut—prosthetics, cancer—Trump officials couldn’t give me a straight answer.
I’ll be fighting to reject Trump’s cuts to VA research.
