@score38 @zentreya I typically use the eye dropper and then just nudge the color picker a little higher in brightness but sometimes i do just have to adjust the color manually

That's the thing is we're not a community. The "vtuber community" is a bunch of separate communities that have been put under an umbrella of o n e commonality. I'm not responsible for the behavior of other riggers (adults) than I am responsible for other horror movie enthusiasts or video game enjoyers.
At the end of the day we're all separate business and entities, and if you see it as anything else is time to log off for awhile. But trying to strong arm riggers isn't going to get what you want. It's just going to make them not want to work with you

This hot take that riggers should give over their cmo3 files thing is getting really out of hand.

I can understand being frustrated from working with bad actors. However, dealing with that by deciding that we're all frauds for not handing over the secrets to our craft is irresponsible at best, and hurtful at worst.

We are not a collective entity. Those of us who do love our craft and care about our clients happiness have no power or liability to bear the responsibility of the actions of bad apples. This isn't a systematic issue, and the take that "Live2d and Vtubing is the only sector where this is an issue" is a deeply uneducated take. There are tons of fields, creative or otherwise, where giving away every detail of your process is *NOT* part of what the client is paying for.

While you may be paying hundreds or thousands for your model, what you are paying for is the moc3 and matching files. Just like how when you commission art you're not receiving full rights to the work without additional compensation.

All you're doing by making these hot takes that all riggers should conform to this "new standard" is turning off trustworthy riggers from wanting to work with you in the future. I personally don't see myself wanting to work with anyone who believes it's my responsibility to hand over every inch of my craft for the sake of their personal security.

People leave professions without finishing every task all the time. It's an unfortunate reality. That doesn't mean that the entire profession is now the villain to your personal story for not being willing to bend over about it.
