🧵 Big Announcement!
The CO2 monitor loaning program initiated by CAVI expanded significantly since the first launch in April 2022. In order to support further growth across Canada, the Balvi Philanthropic Fund has graciously selected CAVI as a grant recipient! 1/9
@lion_peacock@AOgieglo Radon detectors are not in our wheelhouse currently, but we are always so thrilled to see them in any “library of things” when we do!
We will be migrating this account (including archives) over to BlueSky over the next week or two. If you’re already over there please consider following us.
Interesting to consider for anyone who is testing CO2 levels… test the same space at different times of the year. You may get different readings based on the season.
Did you know? Pretty much every province has CO2 monitors available for loan from public libraries thanks to the incredible work of @CAVI_CO2 !! Please spread the word outside of Twitter that we can all take measurements in the buildings we use that help us make decisions.
After reading on here about CO2 monitoring, and checking prices on Amazon, I found that I could borrow one for a week from the public library. Will take it everywhere to see how conditions vary, and how much it fluctuates at home.
Did you know you can borrow the Aranet4 HOME sensor from our Library of Things? This innovative device measures CO2 levels, temperature, relative humidity, and atmospheric pressure, helping you monitor the air quality in your home. #LibraryOfThings

If you would like to borrow a CO2 monitor to find out more about the air in the places you go you may just be able to borrow one at your local library thanks to a generous grant from the Balvi Fund. Visit our website for more details. 😊 🚥
@aidenfknrich@zhouliang_mask It's not the CO2 itself that's the (main) problem, rather it's a proxy way to measure that ∼7% the air I would be inhaling is air that has been breathed out by other people. 3000+ ppm means *lots* of various viruses (incl covid variants) floating around.
In 🇨🇦 and 🇺🇸, nearly 180 public libraries have a CO2 monitors lending program. A great initiative by @CAVI_CO2. In 🇫🇷, @UnivParisSaclay also has a lending program. These "early adopters" are listed on https://t.co/sfLUwovH4Q and on https://t.co/JA1RvPaq0t
Not only do libraries across #NewBrunswick carry NB Lung's Radon Monitors; many also have portable CO2 Monitors!
Learn more about the air you breathe, thanks to our friends at your local library!
Search "Aranet" through Library Catalogue: https://t.co/jOYlGNoEnt?
Inspired by @CAVI_CO2 and its CO2 monitor library lending program, I started a @ChooseMuse meditation device lending program at my school. Feel free to contact me with any questions about starting one at your school.
