@ScotBertram It’s strange why a stadium decision is based on hosting a Super Bowl
Cold weather Domes (in Feb) to host a SB after stadium construction:
Ford field 2006
US Bank Stadium 2018
Neither have hosted again, and I’m sure neither cities care. Oh and both stadiums are in city limits
@LyricPiedra@FDSportsbook Yes great point, I am in favor of Oates being on the list, especially with that strong stat. Just wondering why Brad Underwood remains overlooked every year with a very similar resume now
Refs are really whistle happy early In the tennesee/Michigan Game
Volunteers with 2 fouls on both Bigs
Michigan with 2 fouls on Mara
6 total team fouls on Tennesee
5 total team fouls on Michigan
Not even 10 mins into the game
@theblockspot@iam_johnw Crazy thought…when you’re a good team in the regular season, you are rewarded with an easier path to the final four.
Certainly nobody expected Florida to go down that early, but why are we surprised they played a 14 seed and then an 11 seed? They earned that path
@GamedayGarage@JakeC79 Purdue has beaten 15, 7, and 11.
The path you receive always has a perception pre-tournament but you have to execute against that path to get where you want to go. Purdue and Illinois both came out strong in R64, and they both easily could have lost - ask Wisconsin
I’m no expert historian, but Sean Miller taking Xavier to the first four and beating Texas in 2025 to be followed up by leaving for Texas and taking them to the first four in 2026 has to be the most rare and obscure “ESPN” stat of all time
@nickbateman33 Sister Jean was carrying the torch and after her passing the sport lacked true mayhem.
Don’t be surprised if we find another random NCAA fan/Team member to rally behind in 2026
Amir Khan couldn’t carry it alone in 2025
@lky_cadoda@DelphiBrackets Yes, if we can get Santa Clara and VCU in, then everything after that can be eaten up by bid thieves as far as I’m concerned.
SMU, Auburn, Indiana, and even New Mexico deserve to stay home and watch.
Rooting for A-10 tourney madness, and Akron over Miami in the MAC
@T3Bracketology Avid MVC follower, don’t get that lost in translation. Belmont was great this year. I’m more coming from Conference tournaments are good for the game, auto bid to first place is nice in theory, but playing do-or-die daytime hoops (like Drake did) is what this is all about
For all the mid major hate over the last week, this is a real MM scenario:
A10:
SJU - champ
SLU - at large
VCU - at large
MAC:
Akron - champ
Miami - at large
Mountain West:
New Mexico - champ
Utah St. - at large
WCC:
Santa Clara - champ
Gonzaga - at large
St Mary’s - at large
@SethDavisHoops Nobody wants those teams in the tournament, because they performed poorly all season. It’s really that simple. If you win your league crown, you’re in. If you’re a top 36 team in the country, you’re in. I don’t need teams 37-45 to make me wonder if the best teams are in the NCAAT
