Keldon’s line:
“You’re the 6th leading scorer in NBA history. That’s why we’re triple teaming you.”
→ This implies Durant is so good he needs extra defenders. If he wasn’t good there would be no need to double team
Even though this wasn’t real dialogue between players, the contradiction of this statement makes it lose all credibility. And really shows what a joke spurs fans are. But I see you’re into that. Have a good one
@tylerbritton_ I’ve been saying this for awhile, Wemby is an elite help side shot blocker, but he is not a great defender yet. Being as young as he is, he’ll develop into an all worldly defender but as of now he’s just an elite shot blocker.
@HardenHoops Think it comes down to wembys 3pt shooting, if he’s consistently hitting shots, but battleing with shaq would wear him down. If wemby doesn’t come out strong shooting wise, Shaq will win this match up. I’m still taking shaq regardless, but that would be wembys only chance
@NugsGetBuckets Question why do we consider jokics triple doubles greatness and Russell Westbrook’s stat padding, different efficiencies sure, but a 6’3 PG doing it seemed a little crazier and everyone called him a stat padder.
Although I don’t care that much because at the end of the day who the wolves play doesn’t really matter, but in terms of location, it logically and logistically makes more sense for the wolves to be a eastern conference team. If it’s between the pelicans and wolves. And this image actually helps that case instead of what you’re intending it to do.
@chrissbranton@1legflamingo 100% agree with this statement. All the talent in the world no offensive coach to make the most of it. Reed shouldve played more from the jump
Agreed, was happy with a win in general, but it was not a great showing at all, Jabari looked engaged and played really well despite the shooting percentage, Tari continues to how low shot IQ, closing games will be the biggest hurdle that this team will face. They need to show more any bit of efficiency.
Because this an absolutely inexcusable turnover but a potential lead guard, and it’s why he doesn’t start yet, this is turnover you expect from a Clint Capela, not a point guard. Great thing about Reed he kept his confidence and hit big shots. That’s what you want. A reaction to a turnover is fine, he didn’t take him out or anything so not sure why you’re crying about it.
Nah you’re a hater, Jabari played great in this one, fg% is not always in indicator of how someone affects the game. Tari was disappointing, but I think he’ll break out of this slump, almost seems mental at this point. As for the 7-29 yes they gotta be better, but this was not a bad game by Jabari
@domlaz562@TheDunkCentral@SiriusXMNBA Didn’t Kobe eliminate the Jazz from playoff contention, haywards Jazz btw, that night. For Hayward to say that, bro is salty. And 100% a top 10 player of all time. Goofy
I’m not too down on this game 2nd night of a back to back. 5 games 7 days. Everyone seemed a bit flat outside of Jabari. KD gets no calls. Didn’t shoot a free throw. Got zero calls on the 2nd and 3rd quarter. You can name a lot of things, but I think it was mostly didn’t have the energy.
@JGSupremacy4 Not saying you in particular but suns fans in general. I loved Jalen Green, was sad to see him go, but think this trade works for both teams. I hope Jalen is amazing for you guys.
Right congratulate him and move on, 20 years from now people will care about the 83 not how he did it. And your right wilts was a blowout and he played all 48 mins. Kobe’s was more competitive but still one pretty comfortably. Condemning “heat culture” is nuts, because honestly heat culture is exactly what he showed.
This “stat-chasing” argument makes zero sense. Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat had already taken care of business and were up big. If a star player has a chance to hit a milestone or franchise record, of course he’s going for it. Literally every competitor would.
Acting like that’s some violation of “Heat culture” is ridiculous. If anything, it shows the opposite — he dominated the game enough to even be in position for that record.
And let’s be honest: if your guy has a shot at history, you let him go get it. Fans love it, teammates support it, and players do it across the league all the time. Calling that “disgusting basketball” is just pretending the competitive side of sports doesn’t exist.
83 points is 83 points, no one cared how wilt got 100, no one cares how Kobe got 81, they did it. Wilt played all 48 mins in a 22 point blowout.
