LPG Supply chain review in Keralam - Adequate Stocks, No Cause for Concern

Amidst prevailing panic and rumours regarding LPG availability, Shri Sanjay Khanna, C&MD, BPCL, met the Chief Secretary to review the supply position and preparedness across the state on behalf of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs). During the meeting, he apprised the administration of proactive measures undertaken by OMCs, including LPG procurement across the globe, operating refineries at higher throughput & maximising production of LPG, enhanced logistics coordination & strengthening of last-mile distribution and digital initiatives to ensure efficiency & transparency. Chief Secretary appreciated the coordinated efforts by the OMCs and confirmed that there are no major concerns in the state, assuring that the situation remains well under control.

Shri Khanna also held discussions with the State Level Coordinator (SLC) for OMCs to take a unified review of supply, logistics, and distributor-level preparedness across the state. He further interacted with OMC officials handling LPG operations as well as LPG distributors to assess ground-level readiness and reinforce coordinated response mechanisms. During these interactions, he emphasised the need to strengthen digitalised booking systems and adherence to OTP-based delivery authentication to further enhance transparency and ensure delivery integrity.

C&MD also reviewed the State LPG War Room which enables real-time monitoring of demand-supply along with tracking of stock positions of fuels. Reiterating OMCs’ commitment to customer service, it was assured that all possible efforts are put to ensure availability of adequate LPG stocks. Customers are advised not to be influenced by rumours and are assured of uninterrupted supply, with OMCs working round the clock to meet requirements efficiently and transparently.
